Travis Garcia- Resident Ranch Chef
Travis Garcia joined JD Monte Cruz Ranch family in February 2012. Soon after high school Travis was presented with the opportunity to work as chef at the Lebh Shomea House of Prayer on the historically famous Kenedy Ranch in the “Casa Grande” for 3 years. As Lebh Shomea is located on 2200 acres in the La Parra division of the Kenedy ranch, menus were planned around range beef, exotic game, and organic foods. La Parra ranch is also where Travis’ family, starting with his great grandfather, have worked for over 80 years. Thus, Texas Style ranch cooking was something that was quickly learned and loved by Travis, it was a way of life and passion for the Garcia clan. Additionally, Travis added 3 years of corporate franchise experience rounding out his experience. Today JD Monte Cruz guests can enjoy truly authentic Texas Ranch Style and Tex-Mex meals that comes from practices passed on down from Texas vaqueros.
